Pile Driving and Extracting

In civil engineering vibration is used for most common pile driving and extracting application. As attachment for the ABI MOBILRAM-System ABI vibrators are used for this type of work. (The general principle is described in the method description piling with vibration.)

ABI is specialized in high frequency vibrators and has developed fixed static moment and variable moment versions.

Synchronised rotating eccentric weights in the vibrator produce vertical vibrations, which are transferred over the clamp assembly to the pile element and further to the adjacent soil. Thus the friction between pile element and soil is reduced, the so-called "pseudo liquid condition" appears and allows the penetration of the pile element into the soil.

The various procedures are determined by the pile elements on the one hand such as steel sheet piles, trench shoring profiles, beams etc. and on the other hand on the application itself e.g. steel sheet pile wall, soil compaction, vibro piles.

Piling with vibration is used for numerous applications:
piling and extracting of:
steel sheet piles
beams
steel elements
casings and tubes
full displacement piles

Further applications:
stone columns
soil compaction
geo textile columns
steel piles
vertical-drain
